The 3D printed models allow us to quickly get an accurate depiction of our patients’ limbs, and it contributes to the better quality of the patient’s overall fit of their prosthetic socket. Since the material is slightly flexible when heated, we can adjust the mold to make an exact fit to the patient’s needs. This process allows us to increase the quality of our final products, and it lessens products that do not fit/need to be remade.
